The latter half of the 1990s Thompson Remodeling grew quite a bit. During that time we developed our Design/Build remodeling process branded as "The Thompson Process." Our focus is to make working with Thompson Remodeling as easy for our clients as possible.

Our steadily growing client base numbers over 1200 happy clients. Our employees are known around the community as being very courteous, clean cut, professional and kind of people just about anyone would like to be around. At times, our lead carpenters are requested by name. We are always seeking individuals who will add to the professionalism that Thompson Remodeling strives to maintain. We are pleased for the great team of people who work together on behalf of each other, our clients, this company and the remodeling industry.

After September 11th, 2001 the local economy in Grand Rapids skidded to a halt. In subsequent years our volume dipped below $2 million in sales. It was a difficult time of introspection and improvement of all of the company's processes. Recession produces rebirth and at the time of this writing (Spring 2006) the company has rebounded successfully despite a lackluster economy.

The future of the Thompson Remodeling looks exciting. Our vision is to make existing homes healthier, more technologically and environmentally advanced as well as to create overarching beauty, charm, and achieve design continuity throughout the home. We aim to make all phases - Design and Construction -- of our projects flow efficiently and professionally. We want to make it easy for our clients to work with Thompson Remodeling.
