Lead Carpenter - Residential

Here are the characteristics you'll need to be successful in this Position:

• 15+ years of Residential Carpentry Experience
• You'll be a Working Lead Carpenter / Project Manager responsible for Framing, Trim, Cabinetry, Doors, Windows.
• Able to keep to our production schedule by your own discipline and organization.
• Quality control of trade contractors on your projects.
• Ability to read architectural drawings.
• If you are a Master Carpenter, this is a great opportunity for you to excel at your chosen craft. If you are not, please do not apply.
• You will be working under a Production Manager, and be an integral part of our team.
• Ability to do Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC, Concrete, or Drywall are NOT job requirements or assets for this position.
• You must understand the difference between remodeling & new home construction and like the challenge of remodeling.

Based in Grand Rapids, Mich. since 1980, Thompson Remodeling focuses exclusively on residential design/build remodeling, specializing in room additions, kitchen and bath remodeling, basement finishes and other complex projects that involve professional design elements, reconfiguring space or removing walls.

The second-generation remodeling company is a proponent of sustainable building science techniques, "green" materials and practices. We complete 40-50 projects of various sizes per year.
