Got Stuff? Try floor to ceiling cabinets!

One major component of every remodeling project is figuring out how to incorporate storage options, particularly in kitchens and bathrooms. Every household accumulates “stuff” and the bigger your family is the more you will have. Thompson Remodeling has experience working with Grand Rapids families of two people to up to eight and more! We will work with you to find creative ways to accommodate all that important stuff you need to keep in each room to make it function at its best. One solution we have found to work really well is floor to ceiling cabinets. They can be integrated to match other cabinetry within a room and offer unlimited options for drawers, pullouts, cubbies and other internal organizing systems.

Take a look at some of the project we’ve completed with floor to ceiling cabinetry.

In the bathroom...

This wall of cabinets was incorporated into a bathroom remodel for a family of eight. This particular bathroom was going to be shared by four of the children, so we created this set of custom built-in cabinets to house all of their towels, toiletries and laundry hampers.  You can see that they were designed to match the bathroom vanity as well.

In kitchens...

For items that aren't as critical for food prep but are still needed in the kitchen, floor to ceiling cabinets are a great storage solution that won't take up any floor space. In this family kitchen, the cabinets are situated just beyond the refrigerator, but outside of the main working space. They still feel like a part of the space with their coordinating finish to match the island.

In mudrooms...

Here, we've designed a set of custom floor to ceiling cabinets that are actually individual lockers for the kids. The great thing about them, besides the fantastic color, is that inside each there is cubby storage, hooks, and a charging station!  Plus, we incorporated a bench seat with individual rolling drawers beneath it.

If you've got "stuff" and are ready to remodel your kitchen, bath or mudroom give us a call.  Thompson Remodeling can work with you to create storage solutions that will improve your home's functionality. We look forward to hearing from you.
