Cat Chute

I know we have a lot of cat lovers who listen to the Home Improvement Show. All of them face this problem. Cats need unfettered access to their litter box, food, and water but people don't want to have the litter box & food in sight/smell of the family.
Every cat owner needs a sure fire way to give the cats unrestricted access to the basement. Doors can swing closed so that's not a 100% solution. Many people use a cat door cut into the basement door...but if we're honest they are ugly.
This featured Thompson Remodeling client devised a brilliant solution I call the "Cat Chute." She used 10" PVC Pipe to create a chute for the cats to climb from one floor to the other. It's only a foot long. Beneath the chute there is a large set of shelves that I call the landing area.
If I were a cat I'd love to play with my very own Cat Chute. For her ingenuity and novel approach to solving the problem that all cat owners must manage the Cat Chute is the Project of the Week.
