Care: Wipe up any water or liquid as soon as possible. Do not slide objects across finished wood to avoid scratching. Do not leave newspapers or other printed materials on finished wood-inks can bleed into finish. Always use coasters or hot pads on wood surfaces.
Cleaning: Clean with a damp cloth for routine cleaning. While you can use a mild soapy water, prolonged expose to this can dull the finish of the cabinetry. Dry with a soft cloth after cleaning. To remove grease, a solution of equal parts vinegar and water is recommended-do not use abrasive cleaners. Cleaners that remove wax build-up are not recommended and any wax products are not necessary.
Over time, you will need to touch-up cabinetry. Thompson Remodeling has ordered a special touch up kit that is custom matched to your stain color.
Climate Control: In our climate, wood cabinetry can swell and shrink with the seasons. Doors will swell in humidity and shrink in winter. This is not a quality issue; this is a natural characteristic of wood.
While we adjust all doors on installation, it is possible you may need to eventually readjust the hinges over time.
