It is important to Thompson Remodeling that each of our projects are completed at the highest level of safety. That includes ensuring that our tools and job sites are safe for everyone involved. With this said we would like to share with you the National Ladder & Scaffold Co. Ladder Safety Inspection Checklist. This checklist will help you determine if your stepladder or extension ladder are safe for use.

Steps-Loose, Cracked, Bent or Missing

Rails-Cracked, Bent, Split or Frayed

Labels-Missing or Not Readable

Pail Shelf-Loose, Bent, Missing or Broken

Top-Cracked, Loose, or Missing

Spreader-Loose, Bent or Broken

Shoes-Worn, Broken or Missing

General-Rust, Corrosion or Loose

Other-Bracing & Rivets missing or loose

 

Extension Ladder

Rungs-Loose, Cracked, Bent or Missing

Rails-Cracked, Bent, Split or Frayed

Labels-Missing or Not Readable

Rung Locks-Loose, Bent, Broken or Missing

Hardware-Cracked, Loose or Missing

Guides-Loose, Bent or Missing

Shoes-Worn, Broken, or Missing

Rope/Pulley-Loose, Bent, Cut or Broken

General-Rust, Corrosion or Loose

Other-Bracing & Rivets missing or loose
