Staircase:
Removing the surrounding wall and widening the narrow stairway allows the homeowners to join the two levels of their home and utilize the lower portion by making it more accessible. Also by allowing more natural light to enter the space the main entryway now feels larger and more welcoming to guests.

Dining Room and Kitchen:
By removing the wall separating the dining room and kitchen and adding a tray ceiling, we were able to create a "Great Room". This not only increases the space of each room and visual connects the kitchen to the outside; it allows the home owners to increase the connection between guests and family members while in this space.
