Our Favorite Tile Trends from KBIS 2016

Posted by Ben Thompson on 01.31.16

This year's Kitchen & Bath Industry Show (KBIS) was filled with fantastic new tile trends.  It was nearly impossible to walk 5 feet without seeing another gorgeous display of colorful, shimmering, or three-dimensional tile. So of course, we investigated and took some photos to share with you!

Thompson Remodeling's favorite tile trends from KBIS are:

  1. Orly from Artistic Tile.  This striking black and silver tile pattern features a beautiful hand textured limestone with hammered white bronze metal.  It's metal-clad corners form a beautiful sunburst creating a truly unique pattern.

  2. Kara Edgy by Walker Zanger. The three dimensional tile designs by Walker Zanger stopped us in our tracks. The tile used in this room vignette is a concrete tile that can be used for both interior and exterior spaces.

  3. Glass Series by Island Stone. The unique textures and natural hues of Island Stone's are designed to resemble beach glass.  With finishes available in texture, matte, or gloss and an extensive beachy color palette you can create a wide variety of stunning looks for a bathroom or kitchen.

Moroccan tile by Zellik Gallery Moroccan tile by Zellik Gallery

  4. Handmade Moroccan Tile by Zellik Gallery.  These handcrafted ceramic tiles are individual works of art! We found vibrant, colorful patterns as well as black and white medallions that would make beautiful backsplashes and bathroom floors.
