After a decade or so, our bathrooms can start showing their age. Just like an out-of-date wardrobe, the tell tale signs of an old remodeling trend can begin to feel dated. In this master bath it was the glass block shower wall, which was a very dominant feature in the space. Our clients came to us with a vision to give their bath a makeover by updating the finishes and reconfiguring the shower the entrance.
Before
We worked within the existing footprint and were able to reuse the existing base cabinets and hardware. A new tower cabinet was added for storage, plus a new quartz countertop, and lighting. A beautiful, new tile floor has radiant heating with a programmable thermostat to keep the space cozy and warm.
The star of this master bath remodel is the beautiful mosaic tile used in the backsplash, shower accent, and shower floor. The blend of blues, ambers, and browns throughout the space ties it all together.
Before
Previously the shower entrance was by the vanity area. We reconfigured it so that the entry was from the bathroom hall. This enables less interruption to a user at the vanity and allowed us to install a heated towel rack. The new shower is just as spacious and features two niches, a seat, and frameless glass shower door.
