How to Care for Quartz Counter Tops

Posted by Ben Thompson on 10.25.10

Care: Quartz is heat and scratch resistant, but not scratch proof, it is recommended to use a cutting board and trivets. While stain resistant, wipe up spills as soon as possible.

Cleaning: It does not require sealing or waxing. For routine cleaning, use a damp cloth or paper towel, and if necessary a small amount of non-bleach, nonabrasive cleaner. For stubborn spills use a nonabrasive cleaning pad such as white 3M Scotch Brite with Formula 409 Glass cleaner. Always avoid products with bleach. If a stain persists, moisten a cloth with Greased Lighting and sit 15 minutes before wiping. Avoid strong chemicals and solvents.
