Medical Mile Resource Group - Building a Business in the Life Sciences Workshop

Posted by Ben Thompson on 03.7.10

Medical Mile Resource Group is hosting the first of four workships in the 2010 Making a Living in the Life Sciences Series.  During this two-hour event, Dr. Jim Mason, Senior Scientific Investigator at the Van Andel Institute and business owner, will share how he started an engineering company and successfully received small business research and development grants to grow his business.

The event will also feature a peek into what one pioneering group, the Medical Mile Resource Group, is doing to position themselves as the "go-to" business resource for established, evolving, or emerging organizations.  Join our dedicated action to turn a mile of inspiration into miles of opportunities for businesses like yours.

The Ronald McDonald House of Western Michigan is sponsoring this event and providing the opportunity to celebrate their 20th anniversary with them.

The House opened on March 23, 1990. Since then, the House has provided a home away from home to more than 10,000 families of children and youth seeking medical treatment in our community.

The workshop is being held March 23 from 8:00 am - 10:00 am at The DeVos Center at GVSU's Pew Campus, Loosemore Auditorium. For more information on the workshop, visit http://mmrgq12010.eventbrite.com/.
