What does it look like? Does it have a luxurious spa shower or a modern soaking tub? Maybe you envision a floating vanity with a gorgeous granite countertop. Does that vision fit into your budget? When it comes time to make all the selections for a bathroom remodel, things can start to add up. Thompson Remodeling knows how important it is to keep your project on budget and we have a few tips on which items are worth splurging on for your bathroom remodel. **The Vanity.** ![](https://www.thompsonremodeling.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Imported_Blog_Media/IMG_1121.jpg?width=333&height=500&name=IMG_1121.jpg) In your bathroom, the vanity takes center stage and is a main focal point. Select one that reflects your design aesthetic and make sure that it incorporates enough storage for your needs. Invest in one made of high-quality materials that will hold up to moisture and heavy use. **The Countertops.** ![](https://www.thompsonremodeling.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Imported_Blog_Media/IMG_9591-2.jpg?width=500&height=333&name=IMG_9591-2.jpg) Nothing takes a beating like the counters in your bathroom and kitchens, that’s why it’s important to select something that not only looks good but is highly functional as well. Granite and [quartz countertops](https://www.thompsonremodeling.com/a-trend-our-clients-love-quartz-countertops/) are investments that you can enjoy today and will add value should you decide to sell your home. **Sink Faucets.** ![](https://www.thompsonremodeling.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Imported_Blog_Media/IMG_1143-1.jpg?width=500&height=333&name=IMG_1143-1.jpg) Oil rubbed bronze faucets The finish and shape of your faucet really set the tone for your bathroom remodel. You are making a statement, whether you choose reflective chrome or handsome oil rubbed bronze, so select one you really love. **Frameless Shower Doors.** ![](https://www.thompsonremodeling.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Imported_Blog_Media/IMG_9605-2.jpg?width=333&height=500&name=IMG_9605-2.jpg) Glass shower doors allow the flow of light and make spaces feel larger. Frameless shower doors are easier to clean and have less leakage and mold than those that are framed. **Tile Details.** ![](https://www.thompsonremodeling.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Imported_Blog_Media/IMG_9611-2.jpg?width=333&height=500&name=IMG_9611-2.jpg) If your bathroom remodel includes a tiled shower, include a decorative perimeter detail, niches, or flooring in a gorgeous mosaic or other unique tile design, while opting for more budget-friendly wall tiles. --- Ready to create your dream bath?
